Booking and Quotes
How do I request a quote?
Complete our online request form and include photos or a short video tour of your home. Because every home is different, pricing is based on the size, condition, and services requested. Limited in-person walkthroughs are available based on location and availability.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Virtual quotes are free and can usually be completed using photos or a video tour.
Are your prices hourly or flat rate?
Most services are quoted at a flat rate based on the work selected. This means you are paying for the completed service, not a specific number of hours.
Do I need an initial clean before starting recurring service?
Most homes begin with an initial clean so we can address buildup and prepare the home for routine maintenance. Your quote will list the standard service and optional add-ons so you can choose what you would like completed.
Cleaning Services
What is a booster or deep clean?
A booster clean provides additional time for detailed areas such as baseboards, doors, windowsills, cabinets, and appliances. It may be recommended after a longer gap between visits or when a home needs more than routine maintenance.
Can I customize my cleaning?
Yes. Add-ons can be included when your quote is prepared or requested through the office before your appointment. Availability may depend on the time reserved.
Do you provide move-out cleaning?
Yes. Your quote will clearly list the included tasks. Items that are not selected or accepted will not be cleaned. We recommend reviewing your property manager’s move-out requirements before approving your quote.
Can you remove every stain, rust mark, mold spot, or hard-water deposit?
We cannot guarantee removal of permanent staining, rust, bleach damage, mold, discoloration, or damage to a surface. Restorative cleaning may improve some buildup but cannot reverse permanent damage.
Recurring Service
How often can I schedule recurring cleaning?
We offer weekly, every-other-week, and every-four-week service. Once you accept a recurring quote, we will work with you to select a regular service day.
Do I need to schedule every appointment individually?
No. Your recurring appointments will be scheduled automatically at the interval you selected.
Can I change my cleaning frequency?
Yes. Contact us if you need to change your frequency. Pricing may change because longer gaps generally require more work.
What happens if I skip an appointment?
Skipped visits create a longer cleaning interval and may result in a skip fee, booster-clean recommendation, or updated service price.
Will I always have the same cleaner?
We aim for consistency, but we cannot guarantee the same cleaner for every visit. Team members may change because of illness, vacations, scheduling, or staffing needs.
Preparing for Your Clean
Do I need to be home?
No. Many clients provide a door code, lockbox, garage code, or other entry instructions.
How should I prepare?
Please pick up clothing, toys, dishes, and personal belongings so your cleaner can focus on cleaning. Excessive clutter may limit which surfaces can be reached.
Do I need to provide supplies?
Our cleaners bring their regular cleaning products and equipment. We may ask clients to provide a sturdy, angled broom, a toilet bowl brush, Swiffer refills, and specialty products for delicate surfaces.
What should I do with my pets?
Please secure dogs in a kennel, closed room, or another safe area during service. Pets that bark continuously, show aggression, interfere with cleaning, or attempt to escape may prevent us from completing the appointment.
What temperature should my home be?
For the safety of our cleaners, the home must remain at or below 75°F during service. Homes without air conditioning may need an earlier appointment during hot weather.
Payments and Deposits
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments can be made online through your emailed invoice, by Venmo, or with cash/check. Cash payments should be placed in an envelope and left for the cleaning team.
When is payment due?
Payment for recurring cleaning is due no later than Saturday following your service. Final payment for initial, move-out, and other one-time services is due within 24 hours after the cleaning is completed.
Is a deposit required?
A deposit is required to reserve initial, move-out, and one-time cleaning appointments. The deposit is applied toward the total cost of your service.
-
Most cleanings require a 30% deposit, with a minimum deposit of $95.
-
Services priced over $500 require a 45% deposit.
Are deposits refundable?
You may cancel within 72 hours of paying your deposit to receive a refund. After that 72-hour period, the deposit becomes nonrefundable. If a move-out property is not empty and ready when our team arrives, we may be unable to complete the service and the deposit will be forfeited.
What happens if my payment is late?
Payments received after the invoice due date may be charged a 5% daily late fee. If you anticipate a payment issue, please contact us before the due date.
Are tips expected?
Tips are never required, but they are always appreciated. All tips go directly to the cleaning team.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not issue refunds for completed services. If you have a concern, please contact us within 24 hours and include photos. We will review the concern and arrange a touch-up when appropriate.
What happens if you cannot enter my home?
If we cannot access the property at the scheduled time, a lockout or cancellation fee may apply.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please let us know in advance if you need to cancle or reschedule, there may be a fee on your next visit.
What if I am unhappy with the cleaning?
Please contact us promptly and include photos of the concern. When appropriate, we will arrange a touch-up of the affected area. Because conditions can change after we leave, concerns should be reported within your stated timeframe.
What happens if something is damaged?
Clients should report concerns promptly. Spruced Up is not responsible for pre-existing damage, improperly installed items, unstable furniture, deteriorated finishes, or surfaces that react unexpectedly to normal cleaning.
